Linda Faye Corbin was born the daughter of Samuel Elmer Blair and Neta Ruth (Earls) Blair on December 10, 1954, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and departed this life on December 19, 2014, at her home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, at the age of 60 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Casey Dawn Peters of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one son, Adam Curtis Peters and wife, Nicole of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Madison Brooke Peters, Paige McKenzie Peters, Johnathan Tyler Peters, and Rachel Nicole Peters, all of Searcy, Arkansas; one brother, Don Blair of Maumelle, Arkansas; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Neta Blair, and sister-in-law, Marie Blair.

Linda graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse, working as an inspector of nursing homes for the State of Arkansas Department of Human Services.

Linda enjoyed watching professional bull riding, reading crime novels, and watching birds and deer often found in her yard. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and treasured spending time with them.

Linda was truly a great lady, and will be remembered forever for her wit, her many acts of kindness, and her selfless devotion to her family, friends and profession. She will truly be missed by her family and many friends.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri with Brother Kenn DeShane officiating.

Burial of cremains will be in the Moten Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Walter Henry White was born the son of John Clarence White and Caroline Marie (Basler) White on October 15, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky and departed this life December 22, 2014, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline White; one brother, John Clarence White, Jr.; and three sisters, Bobbie Marie Bowers, Betty Jean Phipps, and Carolyne Deuser.

Walter worked in the timber business and was a sawmiller for many years.

He enjoyed playing pool with friends, a good fishing trip, and most of all, spending time with his nieces and nephews and their families.

He was a Christian man and of the Lutheran faith.

He will be remembered as a kind man, a great uncle, and a loyal friend. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Chaplain Ron Richardson officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 26^th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.

Burial will be in the Norman Cemetery near Thayer with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Reva Buckman was born the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Ball) Bane on July 26, 1931, in Nickerson, Kansas, and departed this life December 14, 2014, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 83 years.

Reva attended an elementary country school in Lyons, Kansas, and graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1949.

She was united in marriage on March 6, 1950, in Sterling, Kansas, to William Roy Buckman and to this union, three children were born, Rebecca, William, and Daryl. In the year of 1961, Bill, Reva, and their family moved to Griswold, Iowa for employment. Upon Bill’s retirement, they moved to Koshkonong, Missouri.

She was united in marriage on December 28, 2003 at Peace Valley, Missouri, to Paul Neal Woody.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Woody of West Plains, Missouri; her daughter, Rebecca Buckman of Atlantic, Iowa; her sons, William Buckman and wife, Janet of Branson, Missouri and Daryl Buckman and wife, Linda of Omaha, Nebraska; one step-son, Steve Woody and wife, Kellie of Peace Valley, Missouri; one step-daughter, Katie Thompson of Peace Valley, Missouri; one sister, Ann Eva (Merle) Buckbee of Tescott, Kansas; eight step-grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Bane; her husband, Bill Buckman; and two brothers, Ernest and Allen Bane.

Reva often shared memories of her childhood years with family and friends and was especially fond of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She recalled this movie was released during the depression when money was scarce, so the local theater adopted a policy of allowing a child to be admitted free if being held by a parent. One of her favorite memories, was being held by her father at the age of 12, while standing in line to see Dopey, her favorite dwarf.

Reva had several interests. One, she and Neal enjoyed was traveling. In the winter months, her time was spent knitting and crocheting afghans, sweaters, and other items.

Reva discovered the art of woodworking at the age of 62 years. Her first project was a gazebo built from blue prints, not a kit. Prior to this undertaking, she had never built anything, but was determined until completed. Those who knew Reva also know that she was a very determined individual. This determination helped her through several difficult times in her life.

She was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Thayer, Missouri.

She will be remembered for the devotion to her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, with Reverend Gary Hirsch officiating. Friends may pay their respects Friday evening, December 19^th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer. Angela Dawn Deaton was born the daughter of Janice (Mills) Bentley on December 23, 1971, in West Plains, Missouri, and departed this life November 29, 2014, at her home near Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 42 years.

Angela was united in marriage on May 13, 2004 at Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Bryan Ray Deaton.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan and their special little dog, Ellie of the home in Thayer, Missouri; her mother, Janice Bentley of Springfield, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Vercie Hirsch of Koshkonong, Missouri; one step brother, Mike Shipman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one step sister, Melanie Bethurem of Adrain, Missouri; three aunts, Hazel Estep and Helen Ramsey, both of West Plains, Missouri, and June Wyatt of Koshkonong, Missouri; one great aunt, Joyce Mills of Wichita, Kansas; special caregiver, Clayton Hollaway of Couch, Missouri; one niece, Kelsie Stewart of Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herman and Pauline Mills; her paternal grandparents, Glen and Dorothy (Davis) Bentley; one step grandmother, Mary Bentley; two aunts, Georgia Reef and Rita Dougherty; one step daughter, Laken Haley Deaton; and her step father-in-law, Ronnie York.

Angela was a cosmetologist and also enjoyed floral design and crafts. She loved to go fishing with her husband, Bryan; shopping with her mom; family get togethers; and spending time with her church family and friends.

Angela will be remembered by family and friends for her love of life. She was an inspiration to all by the life she lived with her unconditional love, strong Christian faith, and great determination, even in the midst of her trials of life.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Richard Todd, Brother Clay Risner and Brother Joe Garrison officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Anna Mae Burke was born the daughter of Theodore Austin Butler and Eddy Fostina (Taylor) Butler on September 11, 1920 at Camp, Arkansas, and departed this life November 29, 2014 at Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 94 years.

She was united in marriage on December 21, 1938 at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to Franklin David Burke, who preceded her in death on December 27, l989.

She is survived by five children, Julia Jones and husband, Henry P. III of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Frankie Komm of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, David Burke and wife, Cathy of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Terri Ruck and husband, Bill of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Michael Burke and wife, Kathryn of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, F. Allan Jones and wife, Wendy of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Elizabeth Fairhead and husband, John Paul of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Tony Komm of Wichita, Kansas, Fred Komm and wife, Dionne of Thayer, Missouri, Ken Komm and wife, Traci of Thayer, Missouri, Sandi Komm of Thayer, Missouri, Andrew Burke of Conway, Arkansas, Aaron Burke and wife, Leslie of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Billy Ruck and wife, Leah of Burlingame, California, Daniel Ruck and wife, Melissa of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Ruck of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Megan Kim and husband, Da-Me of Jonesboro, Arkansas; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one brother, Herman Ray Butler of Cairo, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.A. and Eddy Butler; her husband, Frank Burke; one son-in-law, Donald Komm; one grandson, Henry P. Jones IV; three brothers, Roy, Vick, and Curt Butler; and three sisters, Beulah Ellis, Elvie McBride, and Ruby Deatherage.

Anna Mae was a dedicated homemaker and loved cooking for her family, sewing, and especially enjoyed quilting. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She always looked forward to their visits and the wonderful memories they shared.

Mrs. Burke was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas where she sought to become like her Lord Jesus in everything she did. She taught Sunday School class and faithfully attended as long as health permitted.

She will fondly be remembered as a lady with a kind heart and sweet spirit. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Bruce Stone and Brother Charles Morgan officiating.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Charles Richard Willis was born the son of Hugh B. Willis and Regina M. (Merrow) Willis on June 22, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa and departed this life November 23, 2014, in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 77 years.

He was united in marriage on November 19, 1955, in Davenport, Iowa to Deloris June Hartson, who preceded him in death on April 14, 2006.

He is survived by five children, Michael Willis of Myrtle, Missouri, Russell Willis and wife, Kimela of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Katrina Vermillion of Richmond, Virginia, Peter Willis and wife, Tonya of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Kellie McCarthy of Poinciana, Flordia; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Regina Willis; his wife, Deloris June Willis; one son, Jeffery Willis; three brothers and one sister.

Mr. Willis was a Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy.

He was an operations manager in charge of maintenance, housekeeping, and grounds for a California Public School System and later for a Retirement Home in the State of Florida.

Richard enjoyed tinkering and working on small household appliances and was a ham radio operator.

Mr. Willis was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in West Plains, Missouri.

He was a kind and caring man and will truly be missed by his family and his friends, including those at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center.

Philip Richard Stockton was born the son of George Oliver Stockton and Naomi (Standeford) Stockton on March 1, 1942 at St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life November 11, 2014 at Cherokee Village, Arkansas, at the age of 72 years.

He was united in marriage on January 18, 1968 at St. Louis, Missouri, to Wilma England.

He leaves to grieve his passing, his wife, Wilma Stockton of the home in Maumelle, Arkansas; one son, Michael Scott Stockton and wife, Susan of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two grandsons, Dalton Stockton and Lawson Stockton, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Naomi Stockton and one brother, Robert S. Stockton.

Philip was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country in Vietnam and during the Gulf War. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force after twenty-six years of military service. Among his numerous awards, he received the Bronze Star Medal and the Outstanding Unit Award with Valor Device.

Philip was of the Baptist faith and attended Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel for twenty-two years. He was a member and former president of the Protestant Parish Council.

His life will be remembered as a testimony of his faith in Christ, and his passion to serve his country and his fellow man.

Philip was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Everly Laverne Ellison was born the daughter of Harold Dills and Bertha (Perkins) Dills on November 29, 1945, in Koshkonong, Missouri and departed this life November 4, 2014, in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

She was united in marriage on November 27, 1964, in Viola, Arkansas to Randall Ellison.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Ellison of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two sons, Shaun Ellison and wife, Tiffany, and Dee Ellison, all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Shianne Ellison of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Alma Nash of Kansas City, Missouri, Velma Rainwater of Kansas City, Missouri, and Elsie Pettyjohn of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bertha Dills, and an infant twin sister, Beverly Fern Dills.

Laverne was a graduate of the Koshkonong High School with the class of 1963. After moving to Kansas City, Missouri, she worked as an office clerk for Sears and Roebuck for many years.

Laverne was a dedicated homemaker, an excellent cook, and was known for her fried chicken and cornbread dressing.

She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, growing beautiful flowers, caring for others, and most of all, baby sitting her granddaughter, Shianne.

She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a loyal friend. She will truly be missed by all.

Graveside Services will be Friday, November 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Sturgeon Cemetery near Mammoth Spring with Reverend Paul Richardson officiating.

Burial will be in Sturgeon Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Helen Audrey (Smith) Means was born the daughter of Arthur Fred Smith and Edna (Guy) Smith on March 2, 1942, in Thayer, Missouri and departed this life October 30, 2014, at Riverways Manor in Van Buren, Missouri at the age of 72 years.

She is survived by two brothers, Bill Smith and Kenneth Smith; and her dear friends and family at Riverways Manor in Van Buren, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna Smith.

Helen grew up in Thayer, Missouri and graduated with honors from Thayer High School with the class of 1960. While working in Springfield, Missouri, she attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri, graduating in the top 10 of her class. After graduation, she worked at Campbell Express in Springfield.

She loved listening to music and being in the presence of children, and enjoyed watching videos of different cultures, countries and people. She also liked bright colors, especially purple and red, wearing jewelry and hats, and eating chocolate.

She will truly be missed by her family and friends at Riverways Manor.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in the Walker Cemetery near Thayer, Missouri.
