Funeral services for Carl “Buck” Newton Daily, 79, West Plains, Missouri, will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

He was born the son of late William Newton Daily and Mayme Grace Parker Daily December 21, 1940 in Snowball, Arkansas, and died October 24, 2020 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

He is survived by his two sons and one daughter, Carl W. Daily and wife Brenda of Kansas City, Missouri, Ernest N. Daily and wife Melissa of West Plains, Missouri, and Chrisitina Daily, West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Sue (Short) Jenkins of Ruter, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Zachary Daily and wife Kenna, Kansas City, Missouri, Elizabeth Smith and husband, Victoria, Kansas City, Missouri, Chris Daily and wife Tabby, Kansas City, Missouri, John Daily and wife Leann, Kansas City, Missouri, Hila Daily, West Plains, Missouri, Linda Clark, West Plains, Missouri, and David Daily and wife Christina, Willow Springs, Missouri; twenty-one great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Daily; son, David Daily; daughter, Carla Clark, and sister, Joyce Gilliam.

He worked for the City of West Plains for thirty-four years. He enjoyed his little dog, Spike, working on lawn mowers, spending time with family and eating with his friends he grew up with.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home,Inc., West Plains.

    I’m sorry to hear about Uncle Buck. I didn’t know he was ill. I won’t be attending his service because I’m trying to stay away from public gatherings because of the virus. I am 81 years old.

    Sorry to hear of Carl’s passing. We grew up in the same part of Howell Co. And I remember him in Howell Valley School. May God bless the family left behind in this sad time.

    Buck was our neighbor for years and watched us kids grow up. He will definitely be missed and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family.
