Billy Frealy

Billy Marion Frealy was born the son of Eugene Stanley Frealy, Sr. and Maggie Fay (Tyner) Frealy on August 25, 1934 in Doniphan, Missouri, and departed this life January 29, 2013 at his home near Thayer, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

He was united in marriage on March 11, 1957 in Salem, Arkansas, to Joreta Ruth Romine.

He is survived by his wife, Joreta Ruth Frealy of the family home; four children, Lenora Adams and husband, Brian, of West Plains, Missouri, Billy (Wm.) Frealy and wife, Erin, of Thayer, Missouri, Monica Childers and husband, Daryl, of Thayer, Missouri, and Keith Frealy and wife, Natalie, of Koshkonong, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brian Adams, Jr. and wife, Ashly, Daryl Childers II and wife, Corrie, Derek Childers, Joshua Adams, Perry Frealy, and Wyatt Frealy; three great grandchildren, James, Autumn and Kylie; two brothers, Bob Frealy of Holton, Kansas and David Frealy and wife, Jackie of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his good dog, Sport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene Frealy, Jr. and James Austin Frealy; four sisters, Mary Lou Tourigny, Lona Fay Frealy, Alice Frealy, and Elizabeth Scharff, and one infant brother, Jackie Frealy.

Billy was a flight engineer, proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and watching the deer playing in his front yard.

He was of the Catholic faith and a Mason. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be Friday, February 1 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer. Burial will be in the Koshkonong Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
