Betty R. Albright was born the daughter of Madison E. Pierce and Mary Jane Cerutti Pierce, on February 7, 1946 in Thayer, Missouri and departed this life on June 1, 2020 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas at the age of 74.

She was united in marriage on May 20, 1964 to Marvin Albright who preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by two sisters, Rose Pierce of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Barbara Humphries and husband, Larry of Glencoe, Arkansas; four brothers, Jimmy Pierce and wife, Diane of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Rocky Pierce of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Chester Pierce and wife, Ellen of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Jesse Pierce and wife, Denise of Camp, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Deniece Pierce of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law, Roger Albright of Salem, Arkansas and David Albright and wife, Joann of Camp, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.  Although not having any children of her own, she was a mother figure for niece, Amber Reynolds and nephew, Ethan Pierce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Madison and Mary Jane Pierce; her husband, Marvin Albright; one brother, Steve Pierce; and two nephews, Aitken Gallup and Matthew A. Pierce.

Shortly after graduating from Mammoth Spring High School, Betty began working as a typesetter for the Salem Headlight, which became Areawide Media.  She loved her job and the people she worked with and continued working for Areawide Media until the end of 2010 when she retired.

She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.           

Betty liked to read, cook, bake and crochet.  She loved working in her flower garden, raising beautiful flowers.

 Most important to Betty was her family.  She was devoted to her husband.  She loved their occasional trips to Tunica, Mississippi.

 Betty also loved her brothers and sisters and her many nieces and nephews.  She greatly appreciated her amazing caregivers

She will truly be missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

Graveside services for Betty R. Albright will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas with Reverend Michael Gallup officiating.

Mrs. Albright will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.

Burial will be on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    I worked with Betty for many years at Areawide Media. We shared a lot of conversations and laughter. She loved Marvin deeply and she loved her family. She was a friend and I am so glad we met. I will always have fond memories of her and Marvin. Erma Harris and husband Tom
