Anna Catherine Warren

Anna Catherine (Casey) Warren was born the daughter of Clark Edward Casey and Jureta Azalea (Baker) Casey on October 3, 1929 at Alton, Missouri and departed this life March 28, 2013 at West Vue Nursing Facility, at West Plains, Missouri at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 25 days. Catherine was a Christian having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. Catherine and her husband, Jack, raised two boys at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Pomona, Missouri. After Jack’s death, Catherine started attending First Baptist Church of West Plains and served there for over 30 years.
Catherine attended a one room elementary school at Riverton, Missouri with her siblings. After which she attended high school in Alton, Missouri where she graduated. the following year at age 18, she secured a teaching position at Thayer, Missouri for which she took a great deal of pride. She attended college at Southwest Baptist University at Bolivar, Missouri, finishing up her degree in education at Southwest Missouri State (SMS) in Springfield, Missouri. She was united in marriage on February 19, 1955 at Thayer, Missouri to Jack Loyd Warren who preceded her in death on February 18, 1981. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri for a brief period of time returning to Thayer where she taught school after which she and her husband moved to the West Plains area. Catherine spent many years teaching elementary school. She left teaching to work with her husband, Jack and two sons, Jeff and Doug, on their dairy farm in Olden for ten years.
After selling the farm when her husband Jack became ill, they moved into West Plains to live. After Jack passed away, Catherine spent the next 20 years volunteering for organizations as Ozarks Medical Center and her local church, First Baptist Church of West Plains, Missouri.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Jeffery and Amanda Warren of Cedar Hill, Missouri, and Douglas and Brenda Warren of West Plains, Missouri. In addition she had four grandchildren, Sabrina and spouse, Diego, Matthew, and spouse, Tonya, Samantha and spouse, Mark, and Jacqueline and spouse, Jason. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Vincenzo, Isabella, Evelyn, Olivia, and Lillian. Also still residing in Alton, Missouri is one brother, John Lewis Casey and his wife, Emma Lou. Many nieces, nephews, and friends greatly enriched her life.
