Betty Collins, daughter of Tim Stubbs and Lola Collins Stubbs was born August 25, 1928 in West Plains, Missouri, and died September 29, 2019 at the age of 91 years.

She was united in marriage December 15, 1947 to Lloyd J. Collins, who preceded her in death February 7, 2001.

She is survived by two children, Rebecca Owens and husband Randy, West Plains, Missouri, and Lloyd James Collins II and wife Vickey, West Plains, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Torrie Bidell and husband Deion, Springfield, Missouri; Deidra Brixey,West Plains, Missouri; Tina Sears and husband Tommy, state of Maryland; Norman Clark and wife  Candice, Lincoln, Nebraska; Kevin Collins, West Plains, Missouri; William Collins II, West Plains, Missouri; Lori Barks-Payton and husband Chris, Springfield, Missouri; Chantell Lambert and husband Corey, West Plains, Missouri; Jason Collins, West Plains, Missouri; Randy Owens II and wife Jessica, state of Oklahoma; Shana Collins and husband Dustin, West Plains; Lloyd Collins III, West Plains, Missouri, and Dustin Collins, West Plains, Missouri; twenty-three great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren.

She is preceded death by her parents; her  husband; eight children, Katherine Collins, Paul Collins, Terry Collins, Jerry Collins, Larry Collins, Glenda Collins, Timothy Collins, and Thomas Collins; one brother, Coy Collins; two sisters, Roberta Collins and Leah Collins, and one grandson, Anthony Collins.

She was a constant prayer warrior. She loved to sing and read. She loved her family, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.at Siloam Springs Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, with Brother Bill Bales officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Eulah M. (Wisehart) Payne, daughter of W. H. and Ora (Harbison) Wisehart was born in Myrtle, Missouri on May 10, 1923.

God called her Home to Himself on September 29, 2019, while residing in West Vue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Plains, Missouri.

Eulah made the most important decision of her life, her profession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior, when she was a young girl.

On August 19, 1948, Eulah was united in marriage with the one man who won her heart, Robert D. Payne (Bob). To their happy union two daughters, Patricia (Barger) and Marsha (Harter), and two sons, Kenton and David were born.

Bob preceded Eulah in death April 1989. Eulah was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Eunice, Marie (Sutton), and Bernice (Cantrell); one son, David; one grandson, Daniel Mark Barger, and one great grandson, Jeremy McConville.

Eulah leaves to celebrate her memory, Pat and Don Barger of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; Marsha and Jim Harter of Nashville, Tennessee, and Kent and Ava Payne of Lees Summit, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tricia Patrick, Steve Barger, Jennifer Ervin, Jamie Waters, Jeff Harter, Jessica Harter, and Lucas Payne, and ten great grandchildren.

Eulah was a long-time active member of First Freewill Baptist Church, West Plains. She served as a volunteer at the Ozarks Medical Center Hospital and the hospital thrift shop for over twenty-five years. Eulah loved the Lord, her family, and her church and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her because our lives are better for having known her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s and can be left at the funeral home.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Funeral services for Eulah Payne will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Reverend Ron Blanks and Reverend Ben Ryan officiating.

Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc., West Plains.

Wilbur Earl Bastin, son of the late Fred and Orpha Bastin was born June 24, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois and died September 28, 2019 at the age of eighty-eight years.

He was united in marriage November 17, 1990 to Barbara Ann Johnson.

Will is survived by his wife, Barbara; five daughters, Carole Dowell and husband Mike, of Odessa, Missouri, Sandy Nesmith and husband Jim of Lees Summit, Missouri, Marcy Gamber and husband Steve, of Bates City, Missouri, Shari Blackston and husband Marvin, of Oak Grove, Missouri, and Brooke Dirlam and husband Mike, of Drexel, Missouri. He is also survived by one brother, David Bastin and wife Jan, of Orange, California; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond and Paul.

He attended Cornerstone Family Worship. In the past he served as Sunday School secretary and superintendent, Royal Rangers Senior Commander, president of Men’s Ministry, deacon and usher.

He loved to work in his wood shop and volunteer at local nursing homes. Everything he did was unto the Lord. He had a love for people and could always bring a smile.

Randy Taylor, Mountain View, Missouri, passed away September 19, 2019.

Randy was born June 27, 1955 in Alton Illinois, to Harold and Juanita Thornsbury.

Randy is survived by his step-mother, Phyllis Thornsbury; five brothers, Matthew Thornsbury, Wayne Thornsbury, Scott Taylor, Mark Goldman, and Steve Goldman; four sisters, Lisa Watson, Anita Newman, Wanda Bellito, and Angela Hildebrandt, and twenty-three nieces and nephews.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Harold Thornsbury and his mother Juanita Darlene Taylor Morris.

Randy enjoyed watching karate movies. He was a believer of God. He loved telling jokes. He had a huge heart and helped anyone who needed it. He served in the military as a guard for the German wall.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Granite City, Illinois

Rockwell Mincher, 63, West Plains, Missouri died September 4, 2019 in West Plains.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,  Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Memorial services for Donna DeAnn Collins, 62, Dora, Missouri, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Martin officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

She was born the daughter of the late Edward Woodward and Laura Raye Long Woodward, on March 13, 1957 in Cabool, Missouri and died September 12, 2019 at her home in Dora, Missouri.

She was united in marriage June 11, 1976 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to David Collins.

She is survived by her husband, David Collins, of the home, Dora, Missouri; one son, Joseph Lee Collins, Dora, Missouri; four siblings, Eddie Woodward and wife Josie, Gainesville, Missouri; Cary Woodward and wife Melanie, Pottersville, Missouri; Rocky Woodward and wife Pam, Dora, Missouri, and Barry Woodward and wife Michelle, Gainesville, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She loved to work in her garden and her flower beds. She also loved her animals. Her family was very important to her and loved them with all her heart.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., one hour before the memorial service at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Funeral services for Leo Thompson, 81, Nashville, Illinois, will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Reverend Dan Duncan officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Dugald Thompson and Mary Peters Thompson, on September 27, 1937 in Monona, Iowa and died September 9, 2019 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage June 9, 1973 in Sterling, Illinois to Jeanetta Green.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanetta Green Thompson, of the home, Nashville, Illinois; three children, Jerry Lee Thompson and wife, Julie, Wright City, Missouri, Christine Maynard, Rock Falls, Illinois, and Elizabeth Longenecker and husband, Marvin, Pecatonica, Illinois; five grandchildren, Dakota Longenecker and wife, Melissa, Pecatonica, Illinois; Heyleigh Maynard, Baltimore, Maryland; Molly Thompson, St. Peters, Missouri; Willow Thompson, St. Peters, Missouri, and Maia Hafley, St. Peters, Missouri; one great grandson, Jordan Longenecker, Pecatonica, Illinois; extended family, Lucas Durnil, Elyse Durnil, and Mason Taylor, all of Wright City, Missouri; one sister in Christ, Evonda Botka, Flora, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Grove; one son-in-law, Dale Maynard, and one brother in Christ, Robert Botka.

He was of the Baptist faith, having attended three First Baptist Churches. The locations of the churches are in Missouri, Florida, and Illinois. He received his Associates degree from Sauk Valley Junior College in Sterling, Illinois. He also attended Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois for three years. He was a member of the Monona High School Bulldog football team and was a proud member of their FFA program. He and two of his cousins, Clyde Thompson and Karen Thompson graduated with the class of 1955 from Monona High School, Monona, Iowa. He grew up living on a farm. He thoroughly enjoyed celebrating his birthday with his granddaughter, Maia Hafley, who celebrates her birthday in September also. He loved to travel, made no difference whether it was by automobile, plane, cruise; he loved it all. His dream as a child was to travel to Europe. He was fortunate enough to go to Europe three times.

Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, in the South Fork, Missouri area, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

There will be a Celebration of Life following the committal at the cemetery.
