Alvin C. Cooper, 65, West Plains, Missouri, died September 7, 2014 at National Health Care in West Plains.

He was born August 8, 1949 in Portsmouth, Virginia..

He was united in marriage October 18, 1985 in Richmond, Virginia to Annette Davison.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Davison Cooper, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; seven children, baby girl, Tricia Nichol and husband, Joe, West Plains, Tami Hammann and husband, Tim, Waupun, Wisconsin, Troy Kanneman and wife, Heather, Friesland, Wisconsin, Frank Kanneman and wife, Peggy, Wautoma, Wisconsin, Millie Travers, Scott Cooper, and Misty Trimmer, all of Richmond, Virginia; 2 brothers, Eddie Cooper and wife, Frances, Freeport, Texas, and Michael Cooper and wife, Denese, state of Texas; three sisters, Faye Watson, Chesapeake, Virginia, Sharon Smith, Richmond, Virginia, and Mary Sue Young and husband, Andy, Townsend, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, Miranda, Tara, John, Thea, Adrian, Danie, Ashley, Quintin, Austin, Christopher C., and Damian, and one great grandson, Michael; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and lots of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dean and Jerry Cooper and one granddaughter, Kora Kanneman.

He attended the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, West Plains. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him

Local arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

    I will always love Papa Al and will be missing our talks on the telephone. We had some really good laughs together. Hugs and kisses love you always.

    Rest in Peace knowing you were loved by many and will be missed.
