Jerrod Carr

Jerrod William Carr was born in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Darren and Kimberly Carr, on April 27, 1996, and left this world at his home in Thayer, Missouri, on July 15, 2018, at the age of 22 years.

Jerrod is survived by his parents, Darren and Kimberly Carr of Thayer, Missouri; two sisters, Darnett Carr of Benton City, Missouri; and Hannah Carr, of Thayer, Missouri; two nephews, David and Colton of Benton City, Missouri; many cousins; other relatives; and many friends.

Jerrod was a Christian and a member of the Thayer First Baptist Church. He was especially involved in the First Baptist Church Bow Shoot Ministry.

He loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter. He especially liked bow hunting and was involved in 3D archery.

Jerrod had a special connection with baby animals. He had a squirrel walk into his open hand and had a fawn walk right up to him.

He had a passion for helping people in need. He would do handiwork and sometimes mow yards, free of charge.

Jerrod was a loving son and brother and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral Services for Jerrod Carr will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2:oo pm in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Brother Jared Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Thayer First Baptist Church Bow Shoot Ministry.
